FAQ

  • From when is check-in possible? Until when is check-out possible?
    Check-in is possible from 1 pm - 6 pm. Check-In before 1 pm is possible only by prior arrangement and possibly against an early arrival fee. Arrival between 6 pm and 10 pm is possible by arrangement. Arrival after 10 pm is not possible. Check-out is possible from 08:00 - 12:00, and if possible the bill should be settled by 10:00. Earlier departure is possible by arrangement. Check-out after 12:00 is possible only by arrangement and for a late departure fee.
  • Can I bring my pet?
    Of course! Whether you want to bring your dog or cat, we welcome pets of all kinds! We do not charge any additional fees. Please do not let your dog do its business on the campsite premises, especially on the pitches of other guests and on the campsite facilities.   • Do I need a reservation?
    We recommend that you make a reservation directly with us during the high season. In the low season you do not necessarily need a reservation to get a free pitch. However, if you want to arrive without a reservation, we recommend you to ask for the availability by phone or by mail. In the high season in winter and summer we have a minimum stay for reservations. A stay under the minimum length of stay is only possible without a reservation or with a Last Minute Booking, but then we do not guarantee a pitch. In low season you can reserve a pitch for 2 or 3 nights, but we chaege a reservation fee. A reservation for one night is never possible.
  • I would like to make a reservation. What is the best way to proceed?
    The best way is to contact us via the form on the homepage or write us an email directly. Please tell us your arrival and departure date, number of people, vehicle (+length) and any wishes. We will send you an offer or a reservation confirmation. After receiving the deposit we will confirm the reservation again.
  • What is the maximum size of the motorhome / caravan you can accomodate?
    We are unfortunately unable to accommodate caravans over 8 m incl. drawbar and motorhomes over 8.5 m. Please note that bicycle racks or similar are included in the calculation. On request, larger vehicles can be accommodated in summer and in the low season in winter. Please note that for large vehicles it is not possible to dispose the grey water.
  • How big are the pitches / tent pitches?
    Our pitches are between 40 sqm and 70 sqm in size. We also have smaller ones for spontaneous travellers with campervans or cars. Tents larger than 6m can only be accommodated on request during the high season.
  • Do all pitches have electricity?
    Basically all pitches have a 13 amp power connection. Only on the tent meadow we have a limited number of connections - so please tell us when you reserve a tent site that you need a power connection. We'll be happy to reserve a hookup for you.
  • Can I book a particular pitch?
    You are welcome to let us know which pitches you prefer (e.g. close to the sanitary, pitch on the edge, etc.) when you make your reservation. For organizational reasons we can not guarantee certain pitch numbers. However, we promise to respect your wishes and try to reserve your desired pitch for you.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    Cancellation is free of charge up to 30 days before arrival. After that, cancellation fees in the amount of the deposit are due. We always recommend that you take out travel insurance. In the event of a cancellation with refund of the deposit according to our cancellation conditions, we reserve the right to retain € 20.00 processing fee. In the event of a no-show, the pitch will be allocated to other guests on the day after the planned arrival. The booked period is binding and must be paid even in case of late arrival or early departure. We always recommend taking out travel insurance.
  • What means of payment are accepted?
    After making a reservation, the deposit must be paid by bank transfer. Otherwise we accept only cash payment. Credit or debit cards are not accepted.
  • Is it possible to rent a private bathroom on the campsite?
    No, it is not possible to rent a bathroom at our campsite. Our sanitary facilities are accessible to all campers.
  • Is WIFI on the whole campsite available?
    Yes, you have a Wi-Fi connection on every pitch. You will receive a personal access code upon arrival. Please note that our free guest WIFI is not designed for using Netflix and co. But honestly, who needs that on holiday anyway?
  • Can I have breakfast or buy fresh rolls at your place?
    Yes we have both! You can sign up the day before for our rich and regional breakfast buffet. Or if you prefer to make your own breakfast, you can order fresh rolls from the local bakery the day before. You can then pick them up from us in the morning.
  • Is there a restaurant at the campsite?
    We offer only a breakfast buffet. However, there are many good restaurants nearby and some of them are within easy walking distance. Please note that some restaurants have limited opening hours during the low season (e.g. early June).
  • Is there a possibility to cook and wash dishes?
    Yes, we have a small kitchenette that you are welcome to use. However, we cannot provide cooking utensils. You are welcome to use our stove, freezer and microwave. Dish sinks are also available. All this is located in the main building next to the sanitary facilities.
  • Where is the nearest shopping opportunity?
    We provide fresh bread rolls in the morning. The nearest supermarket, a pharmacy and a sports store are within walking distance.
  • Is there a possibility for the supply and disposal of my motorhome?
    Fresh water tapping points are available at the site, as well as a grey water disposal point. Please note: In winter, grey water disposal is only possible to a limited extent and is not possible when there is fresh snow or icing!
  • Can I receive visitors at the campsite?
    You can receive visitors by previous arrangement and after consultation with the reception. Note that an additional fee will be charged. We can offer a parking space for visitors only upon availability and for a parking fee.
  • I would like to use the day of departure for another activity - can I stay at the campsite until the evening?
    Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends very much on the demand and the season. Please contact us directly. We will try to make it work. A late departure is only possible for an additional fee.
  • Can I stay with a larger group?
    This depends strongly on the season and our availabilities. Therefore, please contact us directly so that we can reserve enough pitches for you.
  • Is there a charging facility for my electric vehicle?
    No, at the moment we cannot offer a charging station.
  • I'm traveling by motorbike. Can I store my motorcycle in the garage?
    Yes! We have space in our garage for your motorcycle so that it is protected from rain and moisture. Please note, that is high season we do not guarantee availability for covered parking.
  • I do not want to stay overnight on the site, but still want to use some services - is it possible?
    Unfortunately no. The sanitary facilities are only for our guests, as well as the sewage- and garbage disposal and all other facilities.
  • How is the daily price composed?
    The daily price varies depending on the number of persons. You can see from our price list the price of the pitch incl. 1 or 2 persons. In addition, there is always the local tax, which is charged per adult per day. In some seasons we also charge an eco tax. The price for additional persons and children can be found on the price list. The price includes the use of all facilities at the campsite such as sanitary facilities, ski room, drying room, kitchenette and lounge. There is no extra charge for hot water in the showers. Electricity is added to the daily price according to consumption. We do not charge connection fees for electricity. If you stay only one night with us, we also have a flat rate for electricity in summer. Breakfast is not included in the price, but can be booked at any time. The price of additional services such as an extra parking space, late departure or double occupancy of a pitch also varies depending on the season.
  • What is included in the price?
    Use of all facilities at the campsite (also hot water in the showers), Wifi at the entire site (5G per week per device), use of the regional buses or in winter the ski bus, pets, supply and disposal of the camper, drinking water, St. Anton summer card (mid-June - end of September), ski depot in St. Anton at the lift stations in winter.
  • Is there a guest card?
    Yes, the St. Anton Summer Card is free for every guest from the first overnight stay. The card is available from mid-June until the end of September and offers many inclusive services, such as 1 day free with the mountain railroad, 1 admission to the swimming pool, bus ride, guided hike, etc.. Which services are included depends on the length of stay. More information about the included services you can find here: www.sommerkarte.at From a stay of 8 nights, the inclusive services of the guest card can be used 2x.
  • What is included with the guest card?

  • Is breakfast included in the daily rate?
    No, breakfast is not included in the daily price for the campsite. You can book your holiday with us including breakfast, or reserve a table on site for individual days.
  • What is the tourist tax / local tax?
    This tax is levied by the St. Anton am Arlberg Tourist Association and passed on to them in its entirety. The revenue from this is used, for example, to finance the free bus connections for our guests, to develop and maintain hiking and cycling trails, to organise events, to prepare cross-country ski trails, to print information material (hiking maps, etc.), to finance investments in sustainability and digitalisation and much more.
  • Is there a guest card?
    Yes, the St. Anton Summer Card is free for every guest from the first overnight stay. The card is available from mid-June until the end of September and offers many inclusive services, such as 1 day free with the mountain railroad, 1 entry to the swimming pool, bus ride, guided hike, etc. You can find more information about the inclusive services here: www.sommerkarte.at From a stay of 8 nights the inclusive services of the guest card can be used 2x.   • What is included with the guest card?

  • Where do I get the St. Anton summer card (guestcard)?
    You will receive your guest card upon arrival from 16.06.2023 - 24.09.2023 The card is free of charge for all guests. The number of included services depends on the length of stay. Before 16.06. there is a weekly program with selected activities. Information about the services of the guest card you can find here: www.sommerkarte.at
  • Which cable cars are open in summer?
    In summer, the Galzig & Vallugabahn (daily), the Kapall & Gampenbahn (Friday-Tuesday) and the Rendlbahn (Wednesday & Thursday) are open. The cable only open from mid-June. You can find more information here: https://www.arlbergerbergbahnen.com/en/stanton%20-summer/ With the summer card you can use the mountain railways for one day free of charge. From a stay of 8 nights 2 days, from 15 nights 3 days.
  • Can I barbecue on my pitch?
    As long as you don't start an open fire on the ground you are welcome to barbecue. Therefore, please only with a conventional grill. But please make sure that your neighbors are not disturbed by the smoke.
  • Are there parking spaces for bicycles and other sports equipment?
    Yes, we have a covered bike-room. A storage there is only possible against a fee. Otherwise we ask you to store your bike on your pitch.
  • I would like to go on a hut tour, can I park my car at the campsite in the meantime?"
    Yes, this is possible subject to availability and a parking fee.
  • Is the skiing area "Ski Arlberg" recommendable?
    Fancy powder-fresh mountain slopes, perfectly groomed ski runs and plenty of variety? Then the Arlberg will put a smile on your face. The "cradle of alpine skiing" entices you with 305 kilometres of marked pistes and 200 kilometres of variations in the open terrain for wonderful winter moments. Fantastic downhill runs of varying difficulty, snowboard fun parks, a cyber area for carvers and permanent race tracks transform the ski region into a true Mecca for skiers, carvers, snowboarders and telemark skiers. Excellent piste conditions, guaranteed snow, 88 state-of-the-art cable car facilities, rustic alpine huts that invite you to stop for a bite to eat, a unique view of the alpine natural beauty and the merger with the Lech-Zürs ski area make St. Anton am Arlberg not only a ski area of superlatives, but also the largest interconnected ski area in Austria.   • How do I get to the skiing area?
    The free ski bus runs every 15 minutes in the morning to the Arlberg ski area (St. Anton). The bus stop is about a 3-minute walk from our site. (Line 7, stop Pettneu Garnen). The ski bus stops in St. Anton at the Galzig-/Rendlbahn as well as at the Nassereinbahn (Terminal West & East), the journey time to the first stop Terminal East Nassereinbahn is 10 minutes, to the second stop Terminal West Galzig- and Rendlbahn 13 minutes. Until mid-December and from mid-April the ski bus only runs hourly. Parking in St. Anton is chargeable and limited, especially with a camper van. We advise against driving into the ski area with a camper van or car. If you want to go to Lech/Zürs, you can take line 92 from St. Anton. However, it is best to ski to Lech/Zürs - the entire ski area is connected.
  • Where can I buy the skipass?
    You can buy your skipass at our reception. You can ONLY pay with credit card. The deposit for the card is 5,00 €, this must be deposited in cash. Point tickets, season tickets and half-day tickets can only be purchased in St. Anton at the lift ticket office.
  • Where can I store my ski equipment?
    As a guest of ours, you get a ticket for a ski depot at the lift stations. This means you can leave your skis, ski boots or snowboard at our partner sports shop "Sport Alber" directly at the lift station free of charge. You have the choice between the shop at the Galzigbahn or the Nassereinbahn.
  • Is there a ski and dry room?
    Yes, we have both.
  • Can I buy gas bottles from you?
    Yes, we offer a gas cylinder exchange. We can only exchange the Euro bottles (grey bottle, red cap).
  • What is the best way to heat my motorhome/caravan in winter?
    We recommend heating your motorhome/caravan with gas. Experience has shown that heating with electricity is significantly more expensive.
  • Do I need snow chains in winter?
    Yes! We recommend carrying snow chains in any case. In Austria, winter tires are mandatory. Please check the current snow conditions before you start your drive to our place.
